Notes Troubleshooting
I'm having a problem receiving emails from a client. I don't receive his direct messages or replies to my messages. Even more strange, if I'm on a list of recipients to a message and he replies to all, everyone receives the reply except me. We experimented and had him send to my work and home email, and I only received the home email. We have both had help desk tickets opened at our facilities, but no one has found anything to explain or solve the issue. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Check the spam or junk mail filters. Also check to see if he can send to anyone else at your organization. Try sending a simple message without any attachements but just plain text in the body. If no messages can make it to your organization from his, then there may be something blocking the sender’s server from connecting to your mailhost. Please provide more information after you have done these tests.

He can send to others in my organization successfully. He sent an email with my address, the address of the person next to me, and to my yahoo account. It came to my neighbor and yahoo, but not me. I checked my junkmail, and nothing was there. Checked my rules and found nothing suspicious there either. Even tried making a rule to mark the message as important if received from him. No luck. Any other ideas?

Confirm that he has your correct email address. Send a message to him and have him reply. Does he get any type of undeliverable message returned to him? Do you have any rules putting messages into particular folders? Search the other folders in you mailbox and maybe turn off those rules that move messages.

I had him delete me from his contacts and on my end removed all the rules I had accumulated over the years. Problem solved. Now I get his messages. Thanks a million!
