Using the Excel 2007 add-in for the iSeries data transfer, is there a way to transfer into the spreadsheet more then 65,000 rows?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

To further this what the person above me posted:
“I’m using MS Excel 2003 and iSeries Access V5R4. I am able to extract a file with 241,000 rows into excel. The data is spread accross multiple tabs in Excel. I was able to do this by executing the transfer from the iSeries access file transfer application (Actions | Receive File From Host… on the 5250 menu). + I also work with Excel 2007. There is a limitation per tab/sheet but it’s at 1 million rows.

– Define the output to FILE and change the details to format the file as BIFF7 or 8. ”

Do as described in the post above.

When defining the output to file and BIFF8, then click on the details button next to File Type and ensure the following are checked.
1) Create extra sheets when first sheet overflows
2) Include colum headings
3) Include colum headings on extra sheets.

I use Excel 2003. I’m not happy about the 65K+ limitiation but such is life.
I also work with Excel 2007. There is a limitation per tab/sheet but it’s at 1 million rows.

I believe Excel 2007 doesn't have the row limitation anymore.

The limitation seems to be on iSeries transfer side.. It will not import all rows.
