There are lots of <a href="http://www.sqlsaturday.com">SQL Saturday</a> events which all have SQL Server 2008 R2 training, and best of all the SQL Saturday events are free.
You can also look at <a href="http://www.sqlpass.org">SQL PASS</a> summit in Seattle. There will be a lot of SQL Server 2008 R2 sessions there. Also check out the Connections conference in Vegas.
