I have a wireless (netgear) network for my Toshiba Windows Vista laptop and I am trying to print to a Gateway desktop Window XP with a HP Laser Jet 2100 PCL6.  I have turned on the sharing for the desk top and tried to add the driver to the lap top but it said it was incompatible so I browsed the internet and downloaded AFICIO BP 20 Series PCL6 that supposedly is compatible with the HP Laser Jet but still cannot get it to print from the wireless laptop.

Help.

Software/Hardware used:
HP Laser Jet, Netgear

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

can this work

1. Share the printer.
2. Make sure the windows xp pc IP is always static. Reason for this is if your IP keep on changing then you might not be able to print…
3. Connect from the laptop to the xp machine by heading to run, \\Windows XP IP, press enter
4. Connect to the shared printer.
5. Try printing.
