Displaying a user profile on the iSeries will show the timestamp of the 'Previous sign-on'. Right under that is 'Sign-on attempts not valid' without any timestamps. I know how to find that info in the history log, but we purge old history logs every week. Does the system keep a timestamp of the last invalid sign-on beside recording it in the history log?

Hi,

I suspect this would also be stored in the audit journal (QAUDJRN?) if this is set on.

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.

An audit journal entry would depend on you having the system value QAUDCTL to at least *AUDLVL and QAUDLVL to at least *AUTFAIL.
