Spiceworks at spiceworks.com is a free network monitoring/HelpDesk system. I don’t use the Help Desk portion, but I think it has an e-mail component.

This one works really well, http://www.focalscope.com. I am using their free startup edition and it has a myriad of features and works with my Exchange server – no problems.
