The Microsoft Default SMTP Virtual Server
As part of our web based (IIS6.0 win2k3 server) applications we use the default SMTP virtual server to forward mail messages. I've set the Smart Host setting in the the site properties (to the ip address of the exchange server(in [square brackets]). The problem is that the messages are getting 'stuck' in the inetpubmailrootqueue directory. The strange thing is that if you reboot the server the massages are sent. Any ideas.
