Retrieve job number is a 6 character field but includes 6 numbers. Why this number is put in between single quote in the CLP with command SNDNETSPLF that caused the report can't be found like this JOB('669513'/DWHESEND/P58350). Any idea? Thanks

How?  The quotes were added around the job number at the time the command is executed in the CLP.  But it works on the command line.

How are the elements of the job name being placed in the JOB parameter?  Is it a string populated with the values retrieved from the RTVJOBA or is it being loaded like this: JOB(&JobNbr/&User/&Job)?

    Thanks for a quick response.

The values are retrieved from the  RTVJOBA to variables &JobNbr,&user,&job then after the report is generated, it's sent to other user by SNDNETSPLF command.  The user did not get it. The joblog showed the single quotes were added around the JobNbr on the SNDNETSPLF so the spool file can't be found.

Are the values being retrieved & used within the same program or are they being retrieved in one program & passed as parameters to another program?

BTW, are you seeing an error in the job log following the SNDNETSPLF?

Also, are you providing the spooled file number to the SNDNETSPLF?  If the user has more than one spooled file within the specified job that can be essential.

I found the problem.   Even though the job idendifier (&jobnbr/&user/&jobname) in CLP is different from the command line, it did work.  What I have in the CLP is SNDNETSPLF that will send a copy of the report to user B for backup purpose before it will be sent to the vendor and delete it after that.  With the new upgrade to the Emailing Software that we did last week, it now deletes the report from the User B instead of from the original user. That's why User B didn't have any copy of that report at all and I have to delete them from the original user.

Thank you so very much for response!
