In the toolbar at the top of my homepage, Yahoo.com, I have an option "Text size" with options ranging from largest through smallest but no matter which one I click nothing changes. Why, and how do I activate this option?

Software/Hardware used:
Mocrosoft PC Windows

ToddN2000,

I use Internet Explorer.  Afraid I do not know just what the input capable fields are or ITKE.  I wanted to change the text size on my home page, Yahoo.com.  I realize I can change the entire page by Zoom.

If you want to use it, and it is a toolbar from Yahoo, you need to ask Yahoo support how to make it work on your system. (Good luck with that. I've never had success contacting them.) No one else will know how, or if, it will work on your system. -- Tom

What browser are you using? I tried Firefox. The text size option is under the page tool bar options. Tru if you select a different size for the text it does not change. This is not a Yahoo issue. What that option is doing is changing the text size of input capable fields. I tried playing with it on the ITKE sit and changing the text size only effects the discussion window. Text on a web page is set by the designer. If you have difficulty reading a page you may want to zoom in. You can do that by holding the control and scrolling your mouse wheel up or down.

If it's just the normal every-day Internet Explorer menu bar 'View' function, it doesn't work on many Yahoo.com pages. There are pages that are displayed within Yahoo.com where it does work. It's up to Yahoo to decide how to make it work on their pages. -- Tom

There is a little more info at Microsoft about how to Change webpage text size in Internet Explorer. The first note at the end of that description tells about the Yahoo.com pages. The second note tells about 'Zoom'. -- Tom
