Is there a way to tell if an email user is out of office without sending the email... such as looking at settings of user? We are running Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 and Office 2003 (Outlook 2003) we are going to be moving to new exchange server soon do i have to wait until then or is it possible with 5.5? or not at all? Thank you for your time and help, Shawn I

Answer Wiki:
Doubt it's possible with Exchange 5.5. But i know that if you're on Exchange 2007 and have Office Communicator and OCS installed, the communicator client will show the Out of Office (OOF) message beside each user's presence. IOW this must be available programatically. Not sure exactly how (am not a developer), but this should get you started in the right direction. David
