 Internet Explorer 7 problems
I have a PC that is freezing up all the time. The Task Manager "process" state that the "iexplorer.exe" is going above 80% and the CPU Usage is "100%". Most of my time, I am not using Internet Explorer. I am currently using IE 7.

Is this issue because IE 7? Should I downgrade to IE 6? Would this help solving the problem?

Answer Wiki:
IE7 IS Internet Explorer (iexplore.exe). Do not downgrade to IE6. If anything, upgrade to IE8. It sounds like maybe a script or something is running in the browser or some BHO's (browser helper objects) - toolbars could be using resources you need for other system processes.

If you have any toolbars installed, like webmail smileys or google or yahoo, try uninstalling those.I agree you should upgrade to IE8 as well.

I would also recommend a full scan with some good anti-virus/anti-spyware program.
