just implemented tarpit, and reciept filtering. i have noticed the mailrootqueue folder building up with emails that dont go out they just sit there and time out after a couple of days. size limits are good and the address is correct; only happening on a few domains (gmail, some international compaines, etc).
how do i get this emails to go through and not time out, is tarpit causing this, can i just turn off all ndr's, receipt filtering, and delete tarpit (i know its not best practice, but dont care at this point).
what should i set the "limit number of connections to" / "connection time-out settings (mintues)" to on smtp virtual server?
what about the outbound settings on the delivery tab?
how do i get the emails sitting in the mailroot queue to move/go out/do something??? tried restarting the smtp, didnt do anything.
is there a microsoft support number to call?
also i just got a new exchange server how do i migratrate everything over to it? just install exchange and mount store, rename old exchange server to different name, then have the new server take the name of the old exchange?
sorry for the rant i cant figure this out and users are freaking out
