TAPMLB05 and TAP01 tape libraries

Can any body give me the exact picture of Tape media library(TAPMLB05) and Tapes(TAP01).
[h2]In my opinion TAPMLB05 is like tape bank.it contains set of tapes. In the same way TAP Is a single tape. [/h2] My confusion is When i issue the command WRKMLBSTS it is showing media libraries as well as single tapes. if we put all in TAPMLB Why it is showing TAPs separtely.

You can think of a tape library as being the collection of slots that hold the tape cartridges and one or more tape drives. The library facilitates loading cartridges from its slots into the drive(s). If you do a WRKMLBSTS and the tape library is varied on you also see the drives connected to the library.
If you want to work with the standalone drive it is also possible. (Just vary on the TAP01). In this case its tape library cannot be varied on or you will need to deallocate the drive from the library.
