 Tape Restore
Storage, Ultrium 1, Ultrium 4
We just upgraded from a model 520 to a model 720. I have been using Ultrium 1 for backups on the 520. The new system uses Ultrium 4. Is there any way that I can restore the Ultrium 1 to the new system, I have some history files that I need ?

We just upgraded from a model 520 to a model 720.

I don’t recall hearing of going from a 520 to a 720 referred to as an “upgrade” before, but I suppose there are configurations that make sense.

In any case, the LTO cartridges and tape unit compatibility page in the i 7.1 Info Center claims that Ultrium 1 cartridges aren’t even read-only compatible with Ultrium 4 drives. That’s as far as I know.
