 Tape backup replacement policies
Hi everyone, What do you use as a best practices to replace backup tapes? Do you wait until any error is reported by drive, autoloader or backup software, or do you change them after a specific number of uses or time? All constructive feedback will be welcome. Regards, Saturno

Answer Wiki:
For our full system saves we keep 7 years worth, then we destroy them. For all other tapes we have a 3 year limit.
