I have tapes in the library that are "inserted" how do i make them "avaiable" for backup?

If you are running BRMS for the backup solution, you need to perform an ADDMLMBRM to add the media to BRMS so that it knows that it is available to that system. Do not initialize the tape if you do not want the data on the tape overwritten until you user it next.
