CSV
Hi all, I am pretty new to this type of requirement. There are some .csv fiels in AS400 IFS follder. When user choose to the option - upload from the IFS folder from the menu, I need to show those .csv files as a subfile. From that subfile, user can select the csv file with a 'U' to upload and the system will backup and remove that from the IFS folder.

Software/Hardware used:
as400

If the files in IFS folder are in Excel format(.xlsx), can I use the CPYFRMIMPF command to import the excel files on to a database table? Any input is appreciated...

If the files in IFS folder are in Excel format(.xlsx)...   Since that has nothing to do with this thread, I suggest that you open a new question to discuss what you need.   Tom

I have decided to use QSH command to list the files in the directory. Now the challenge is once I have listed the file names from the IFS onto a subfile, I would like to select one among and and upload that to a database (I guess can use CPYFRMIMPF to import csv to database) and after uploading I want to delete the same file from IFS. How can I delete the file from IFS?
