Hello, I’m setting up WSUS on our network to manage our updates. I’ve chosen to use the remote client setup for all our WSUS site servers, that way if anyone travels in between sites they’ll be able to pull updates from the local WSUS server. I’ve setup the HOST records in DNS and have one name for the main server. All the site servers are replicas of the main WSUS server. Everything seems to be working fine at the remote sites, the issue that i’m having is at our main site. We have 3 different vlans at the main site, 2 of vlans have clients and the other one is for all the servers. My issue is that the clients here at the main site do not see the main WSUS server for the updates. When I ping the main server name it pings a remote server out in the field. I’m unable to put a host record for these subnets since there’s not an actual server on these subnets. Is there a way to configure DNS to point these subnets to the local WSUS server? Or is this something that has to be configured at the local network level? Thanks,
