outlook 2000 (workgroup) keeps creating duplicate every synchronisation

We have outlook 2000 with workgroup share for contacts, but lately, the software keeps creating duplicate with every synchronisation, without any prompting (and we did not change any settings ! ). We have now almost 10 000 duplicates and it keeps growing. Any help you be appreciated. Thanks. ...

I have a remote Laptop, that the local user accounts and Groups is locked up. How can I get in to unlock, remotely? Local admin is locked and can not get in with it. I can ping.

Someone set up a server for us as a domain without asking anyone when all we need is a workgroup. What kind of problems could we run into if we demote the server to a workgroup? It if is okay to do, how is it done?
