• Keyboard shortcuts for MS Word

I am facing a problem with all the keyboard shortcuts involving the CTRL button. This happens only in MS Word while at the same time it works just fine in other MS Office applications. For example Ctrl+Z or Ctrl+X etc don't work in MS Word. How can I solve this problem? I am using MS Office 2007.

Almost every time I open a document in either Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010 on a wide-screen display, I get the two-page view. I'm looking to change to a one-page view (and never display the two-page view). How can I achieve that?
