Active Directory seeing new computer as pre 2000?

We are using windows server 2003 and computers that are only a year or two old are showing up in AD as windows pre-2000 computers. Is there any way to correct the issue? These computers are running XP pro, vista and the beta windows 7rc operating systems.

Computer continually reboots

I reformatted a hard drive and reinstalled XP Pro; I was able to install Office and antivirus. But then for no apparent reason, the computer reboots immediately after login. I have no idea whether this is a hardware or a software problem. Does anyone have any insights? Thanks
