What do people mean when they say, "Microsoft Windows XP 64-bit edition"? I don't understand the part "64-bit edition". How do I determine the bit version of my Windows XP?

My system is having 32bit Windows XP OS.  The vendor has brought 64 bit windows server R2 2008 software instead of 32bit.  He is telling that the 64 bit software can be downgraded to 32 bit and installed on the system and there will be no problem.  Please clarify.

  • AS400 and Windows XP64

I am trying to install the AS400 Client Access program on a workstation running Windows XP64 and I keep getting a message that says "Access Denied". Is this a problem with the version of Client Access (ver5.4) or is there some setting I need to adjust in Windows.
