Windows server 2003, press ctrl-alt-delete, the logon window would not display
How long did you wait before you rebooted? Was this problem observed during the first attempt to log in after Win2k3 had been installed? Was the disk thrashing?

Remote updates installation.
If all you want to do is push out OS Patches then look into SUS from Microsoft. If you want to push out patches for applications, such as Word, or programs from other companies, like Acrobat Reader, then you will have to look into other programs. There are several good ‘migration’ tools that will do what you ask. Google ‘Active Directory Migration’. OR Download the latest version of Microsoft’s Log Parser (2.2). This tool reads AD objects, Event Logs, XML. Uses SQL type queries to select, order and output the data. And can write to CSV, TSV, SQL Server, etc. Includes [...]

AS400 / windows environment
Why should you move the client’s AS400 into your office ? Anyway, there are ways to communicate between different physical locations and use an AS/400 via private data lines or via internet. Obviously, if you communicate thru Internet there must be proper firewalls and preferrably VPN type connection between the remote and local LAN. If [...]

Installing Win2003 Server on a RAID Disk
Have you tried pressing F6 during the install to specify the RAID driver? As long as you have a driver for the RAID, Windows shouldn’t care what RAID level is selected.

Upgrade from exchange 2003 standard to Enterprise Edition
Try setting all exchange services to manual and reboot your servers. This will keep all services from running and should close all objects that were in use. Never ran into this, but this would be one thing to try at least. Good Luck!

There are two likely scenarios here 1) The name of the router does not have an “A” record in the DNS 2) The NT machine which serves as your DNS server is not using itself as a DNS server – check your TCP/IP configuration. Note: Just because a given machine (of any O/S) is running [...]
