Hi,

I need help with copying shortcuts via AD. Currently, I can create a shortcut on user’s desktops belonging to a specific security group by using this in the Notes field of the group properties:

csc “desktop”, “Clinical”, \\servershareshortcut.url, “folder”, “”

However, I would like to copy a shortcut to place on the desktop instead of creating one. The application being used has a certain icon I need to use instead of it being a folder or generic icon.

Can a script be executed on MAC OS 10.6 from MS Active Directory?

We would like to run a script on all MAC OS 10.6 machines to open up the default web browser and launch a company web page. We can achieve this on Microsoft Windows by using GPO, can the same be achieved on the MAC?

The Schema has been extended on the Active Directory as recommended by Apple, Best Practices: Integrating MAC OS X with Active Directory.

I want to write a utility which will read users Details from the Active Directory and dump it in a database which will be used for other applications.
