I set up ofline sync from the laptop and now found that the user on the server under users is missing although i see the user from the laptop as a share i can access the data.

We have a roaming profile that appears to have become corrupt, and needs tending to. I have worked with correcting corrupt user profiles on a Linux server, but not on a Windows Server 2003, in and Active Directory environment.
