We have a 2003 server here that we are trying to catch a runaway process on.
I know how to go into perfmon and set a page file monitor, but I can’t seem to understand the counter.
I want to set it at a specific GB file size or % or total.
Is the size “over” as a percent amount actually the percent? It allows me to enter in any number, even one over 100. I would think this would be limited to 100% since it is counting it as a percent.

I need to be able to automatically restart a service on a Win2000 server when 3 consecutive performance monitor thresholds are exceeded.

I can run a batch file/command that restarts the service when the threshold is exceeded by setting up a Performance Alert, but 3 consecutive thresholds are required to prevent false positives (spikes) restarting the service.

I have looked for third-party software to do this withouth luck.

I believe this might be possible through scripting somehow but I wouldn’t know where to start.

Anyone have any idea if this would be possible?

Thanks
