I am currently running RIS in our environment and it has always worked great but we are now starting to deploy 2008 installs and need to change things. I have read through some documentation but would like to clarify a couple of things. If I setup WDS in mixed mode can I have custom wim files for 2008 and 2003. Keep in mind the server running WDS is 2003 SP2. Does anyone know of a good link to step through the setup process.

Round robin for data syncing with Windows Server 2003 SP2

What is the best way to set up round robin on several file servers and have the files data be synced between the boxes? This is using 4 Windows 2003 SP2 Servers. They share all files for the sales force and customer service.

Hi friends,
Can any one solve my question that came to my mind.

Is all the domain controllers had the NTDS.DIT database file or only FSMO role holders DCs had these file in a forest? If only FSMO DCs having ntds.dit file, why other DCs doesnot having?

Problem Installing update for windows server 2003 sp2

Whenever I try to run the windows server 2003 sp2 update on sp1 it keeps complaining of inability to install the psxss.exe file(setup cannot copy the file psxss.exe) , but the file is there in the folder. Any help pls?

Delprof script in Active Directory

Hi has anyone got a good working script for delprof to run on remote computers in a domain?

I want to be able to put this script into a specified OU in active directory so that only the PC’s in that OU get delprofed!

SMTP Inbound port keeps changing on its own .

Hi all, I have a issue with my smtp inbound ports. It’s supposed to be set @ port 25 and it keeps changing to port 31432 . If I change it to port 25 it reverts back to 31432 Has anyone seen this or have any ideas on how to fix it . Thanks in advance

RPC server not available

I have two domains, Li350.local and ens01.Li350.local. Each of them has a 2003 SP2 DC. Here is the result of dcdiag /test:dns /DnsBasic /e /v run insp5102000s (ens01.Li350.local DC).

I have only kept the lines related with an error.

SQL 2005 Database instance

Hi there

i have a windows 2003 domain in our school, i have a problem with my sql 2005 database. im trying to uninstall a instance from the database engine. it wont uninstall. i believe that this is corrupt.

im trying to reinstall sophos but as the old database will not uninstall sophos wont reinstall. any ideas on how i could manuall remove this instance from the database?

any help appriciated thanks
