I create a group policy in window Server 2003. i want to give this group permission to write and save as and read as well from same file but not delete, when i checked in the security read,write and un check the modify, when user save it comes up error “access denied”.

We want to observe our domain users desktops without their knowledge. Sort of like a spot check. Randomly checking users for non work related Internet activities and what not. Windows XP SP3 on the desktop running a 2003 AD domain.

I need to scan all incoming files to the ftp server (Windows 2000) before they are written to the drive. Normally the files are saved then scanned. Can I implement some sort of quarantine until they are cleared?

Can I audit Windows active directory passwords to meet complexity rules and not let users have weak passwords? I have changed the group policy for password complexity but what about the old passwords? I would rather not require every one to have to change their passwords even if they have already done it per request.

How can I see who is connected to my Windows 2003 FTP server and review what files have been uploaded or downloaded? Can I be emailed this log file daily or weekly? Can I be alerted if specific files or folders are touched?
