Can you hide the devices in Devices and Printers in Windows 7 Professional. Or can you revert the menu back to the XP Pro look that just showed printers when you click the printers and faxes from the Start Menu. I don’t want to use the method of using group policy to remove printers and devices altogether and then creating a registry entry to point an icon on the desktop to access only Printers. I want the solution to be an option on the Start Menu as it looks much better in a lab environment. Thanks for your help

Hi, i am unable to install the driver for my deskjet 1180c printer driver on windows 7 OS, has HP got any support to install the drivers for deskjet 1180c printer for windows 7 ?. I have browsed through support & drivers at hp website but they have not yet released the driver for this printer to work on windows 7 even though the printer is not so old, I guess the printers which they have launched before windows 7 are all junk now, we either thow it in the bin or HP has to take the initiative to give support to these printers. can any body help me in installing the printer driver on my machine?

I have an HP7600 printer on a remote share running XP. The laptop running Win7, connects to the remote share, recognizes the printer as a HP7600 but cannot find the built in Windows 7 driver and asks for an .inf file.

If I hook up the printer directly to the WIN7 usb port, it installs fine.

How do I get the Win7 machine to pop up the printer selection dialog after it finds the printer, OR if I install the printer locally on the USB port, how do I redirect the port to the printer share?
