How can we deploy 1000 Windows 7 laptops a new Operating System? They are on home and we will be pushing out our corporate copy to them. We have active directory and a free server, how can we make this work?

Hi there i work for a school in the uk. i am the schools technician.

Basically we have 110 pcs and 1 server. running windows xp professional and server 2003 enterprise on a domain

I have the chance to upgrade both the server to windows server 2008 and windows 7 professional.

im wanting to know if you could give me any sort of information or has anyone upgraded in there school. is there anything i might need to know reguarding upgrading and any problems i might come across.

Shared workgroup folder in Windows 7

I have a workgroup of about 10 clients working from a shared folder. When it was set up the credentials were entered (using connect with different credentials) to map the folder to each PC successfully. We are now getting the pop up window sporadically asking to re-authenticate to the drive. The host is a Windows 7 pc with XP/7 as the clients. How can I fix this situation so each pc will STAY mapped?[o:p][/o:p]

I have a domain that has 5 servers. Two of them are Windows Server 2008, I can see these servers from my Windows 7 machine. The other servers are Server 2003 and they do not appear when I go to map a drive. I can still manually put in the path (\\ServerShare) and access the folders that way. What do I need to change to be able to see the other servers and shares on the Window 7 machine?
