  • Slow Wi-Fi performance when doing rsync from Mac to NAS

I've noticed that when I try to do a rsync from my Mac to my NAS, it runs serious slow upload speeds. On my files that are 20 MB+, it runs very slow. But when I disable my Wi-Fi and connect through an Ethernet cable, the upload speed is great. Is the problem with the Wi-Fi? If not, what should I do?

When a 2.4 Ghz wireless N network has a G or B device introduced, the entire network slows down to that speed. If that slow device is removed, how long will it take for the remaining devices to renegotiate back to N, and is that process adjustable inside an N router?
