How do I fix this Dreamweaver problem?

I just uploaded my website onto the server from Dreamweaver, and yes everything in my manage sites area is correct for the server because it tests perfectly correct, but once I type my website into the browser it keeps giving me this error:

Not Found
The requested URL / was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I also checked to make sure the URL is the same and it is, so I have no idea where to go from here??

My site was created in Dreamweaver, and when in IE, you hover over an image that is a link, a small box with a number 1 pops up. This is not shown in Firefox or Safari. What can I do to stop it in IE.

Cost would be a consideration, and also supportability. Site would be supported by a contracting company, so this is a consideration.

I am working with a tekst in a div-box.
How can I use links on the left side to shows a scrolling tekst on the right side. Each link on the left side should show another tekst on the right side. How can I use different links on the left side to show the tekst on the right side who belongs to the link on the left side.
