Using DEVMAP, I define a pair of addresses(even/odd) as E22/E23 and select device type of 3088, and a device driver type 9 (LCS3172).  When I attempt to activate, OS/2 dumps, abends, and the whole machine re-boots, runs chkdsk, and re-boots again.  </p>
<p>If I remove the DEVMAP entries that try to use LCS3172, then everything is fine.  </p>
<p>How do I determine the problem?</p>
