I am all-too-familiar with the Cisco CME/UC set-ups for VOIP, and have come across a lot of folks using Asterisk set-ups. My question is: what is the most popular (in use, supported, feature-filled) flavor of Asterisk currently?

For VoIP Server recruitment.

Removing CDP numbers from switches
HOW DO TAKE NUMBERS OUT OF A SWITCH THAT HAVE BEEN CDP’D TO THAT SWITCH AND REPLACE THEM WITH NEW NUMBERS. WE ARE ADDING BLOCKS OF 200 CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS TO REMOTE SWITCHES AND NEED TO CHANGE OUT THE EXISTING NUMBERS FOR THE NEW CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS.

VPN Routing
If you have 2 vpn routers with 3 connections each (fibre, t1, dsl) and define a vpn connection between them using the fibre connection will any of the vpn packets be transmitted over the t1 or dsl lines? Doesn’t make any sense that they would but have network engineer insisting that would be the case.
