Iam i right in saying you alot of ip phone ask the dhcp sever for a address when there started up — cant they just has a static address allocated to each handset on a vlan

We have a Polycom video system that times out after about two hours. Someone mentioned that RFC in our Cisco switches could be the problem. I Google on RFC and got a zillion responses. Can anyone steer us in the “right” direction to see if this the problem and possible solutions? Thanks Randy
