ESX cluster with ESX 4.0U2 and ESXi 4.0U1 nodes
we have 3 ESXi 4.0U1 nodes two of them are in cluster 1 is stand alone now we have new machine on which we want to isntall ESX 4.0U2 can we build a cluster with the for nodes so to have ESX and ESXi nodes combined

ESX luns allocated on Symmetrix will not format.
Recently we allocated Symmetrix space for an ESX cluster. Some of the LUNs format fine but one or two come up with an error message that says “unable to read partition information from this disk.” All of the luns were exactly the same capacity.
