We are embarking on a process to determine how/if we can transition our current server environment to a virtual server environment. We operation 12-16 application servers running Windows OS and SQL-Server. Is there a source that answers our questions regarding the hardware and software to buy to be able to make this transition?

I have a poweredge small business server with one virtual server on it. However I can not access my shared drives on the virtual server from the host server. But I can access those shared drives from any other place, but not the host server. Please help!!!
