Hyper-V VM installation error: cannot change state?

I followed Anil Desai's step-by-step guide for Hyper-V VM installation (http://searchservervirtualization.techtarget.com/loginMembersOnly/1,289498,sid94_gci1294582,00.html), but I get this error which says "cannot change state" after I start the VM. What is wrong?

Is it possible to install esx on a vmware vm?

Not having a spare machine I'd like to install an eval esx onVM Workstation. I am encountering a problem during install which states that it cannot find any compatible NICS.1. Is it possible to run esx in a vm?2. If yes, is there a workaround for the nic incompatibility?

VMware and NT4

I cannot get a NIC to work on NT4 VM. I imported from a legacy machine that needs NT4 to run software installed. I was able to import it to a VirtualMachine, but the Realtek 8139 NIC is not found so network connectivety is not working. I cannot find ANY VMware hardware in the add/remove section....
