I have back ups on another external disk of previously installed windows xp machines. The hard drive crashed on my IMAC machine and the MBR went with the old drive. I have a new hard disk installed with a different installation of windows xp. Is there anyway to retrieve the files that the technicians copied to another hard drive when the old drive was replaced? The old windows installations were made with a version of vm fusion version 2.x. Is there anyway to reactivate the old installations from the external backup disk?
