I am trying to prepare to migrate to HyperV from VMWare. I am currently using VM Virtual Infrastructure Client 2.0 and I am unsure of how to retrieve the VMDK files to my PC so I can then convert them to VHDs. This question is from the Microsoft Virtualization Chat held on August 27th.

when I launched the Hyper-V manager yesterday, I got this message "'No virtual machines were found on this server' under the Virtual Machine panel. I checked and found that the VHD still exist. Any help with troubleshooting? user submitted
