Do you know how a system (a Veritas Cluster System to be exect) automatically transfers an application from the primary server to the standby server in the case of a failure in primary server? Does the target need to pay a license for both servers in this case?

Veritas 9.1 speed issues
when starting backup 500mb per min. after 5 minutes it slows down to 1mb per minute. server 2003 dell 132t vault

Looking for referals/recommendations for software solution to provide bare metal restore to different hardware. Note: SQL in use with medical data. Server is Raid 1, Win 2000 DC Would like to use workstation for bare metal restore in a pinch. Symantec claim to provide this but I'm skeptical.
