I am running ESX 3.5 Servers with 32 CPU x 2.3ghz and 128 gig RAM. I am wondering how does VMWare share RAM? If I were to give every machine 2 gigs of RAM and 2 processors. How many machines would I be able put on this box? Windows 7 with Office 2007. Knowledge workers. Also how many Windows XP...

XenDesktop and Windows 7 configuration
I've got XenDesktop configured and working with Windows XP. Now I would like to test Windows 7 Enterprise. I created the Windows 7 VM, imaged it to a new vdisk on the provisioning server, then ran the XenDesktop Setup Wizard on the provisioningserver to create two VMs', and all that worked fine....

Streaming applications and VDI
It looks like people can save lot of space by streaming applications into VDI images instead of installing all the applications. Yet I do not see this on any of the discussions. Has anyone tried this out?. Can people share their experience?
