Script to bring down multiple SBS on multiple LPAR’s

I’m wanting to write script(s) where multiple (V6R1)LPAR’s will have different SBS’s brought down, ROBOT, JDE applications brought down, and SQL packages deleted. Once verified all brought down cleanly, another script(s) will bring them all back up on their perspective LPAR’s cleanly. Of course I will be notified of any issues where recycle isn’t working correctly… Can someone point me where I can view examples of scripts. Any advice is welcomed on my new project…

Does XDN runs in a i5V7R1 with Appserver Win2k3

Hi Experts,
We are in migration from i5V6R1 to i5V7R1 and we have a doubt about XDN driver.
We would like to know if XDN runs in a i5V7R1 with Appserver Win2k3, we read the note 1257635 but we are not really sure if works well
If you have been this experience, please let me know.

Our Landscape:
One Central instance, data base server i5V6R1 (Currently runs with XDA)

SAP Kernel : 700_REL
Database
Client Library : DB4_53

Kernel Patch number : 309

Four Appserver Win2k3, one Appserver Linux Suse 10

why does the PDF not print same size as the original?

the document generates as a PDF with overlay correctly, but when printed is smaller than original document.

Document is landscape-OVRPRTF pagrtt(*90) pagesize(51 132).

Updating message files in System i

Is it possible to add new messages to System i message files from a CL or RPG program? Instead of manually updating each file with the wrkmsgf command.

Here’s a tough one.
We currently have a few hundred user defined queries.
Created with the WRKQRY command.

We are looking at a software upgrade that now puts the production data in a new library.

When a user creates a querey and leaves the library *LIBL, it defaults in the first library it finds the data file in.

This would be great if the *LIBL stayed as it would always grab the current production library.
It does not.

This means our department and the users need to change every querey defined. It’s a simple change. Basically we need to change the library the data is found in from “OUR20DATA” to “OUR30DATA”.

This is very time consuming as we have done this in the past.

Now with more users and more queries we are looking for a way to automate the data library change process.

Is there a command or function that can be used to develop an application to do this?

For some reason, my RPGLE program can’t create an xml stream file on the new Power 6 (V6R1). I’ve tried using %trim(filename) and defining the file name as “varying” length.

It works just fine on V5R4.

I’d appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
