installing client access version V5R2M0 on windows 7 64 bit

Hi

I was able to install V5R2M0 client access on windows 7 32 bit version but when I am trying to install it on 64 bit version then I am getting the error that XCOPYFILE-2 error.

Could anyone please help me resolving out this error.

Macro kill 5250 Emulator

When I run a macro, it kills the 5250 emulation window. The session is still run on the AS400 but the window in Client Access is gone.

OS/400 V5R2. I’m running a CPYFRMIMPF to import a file from the IFS drive to a database file. this is the command:

Interestingly enough, we have another AS/400 running V5R4, and the exact same command with the exact same to-file and the exact same FDF works fine there.

Hello there, We still have an old S10 system, on V5R2, for DEV users and unfortunately no more support. Now we have a damaged QSYS object, *SVRPGM, Q2CIO, that we cannot even execute a command. We tried doing an IPL but then we got SRC code B9003E30. Does anyone know how to recover from this code so we can continue to bring up system? Somehow we need this system until we migrate 3 months from now to a 570 partition.

Need help with setvar for iSeries query manager using not in ()

I have an issue with a Query Manager where I need help with the syntax for a list of entries in the Select not in ( ) portion.

I have a command that will call an RPGLE module which will call the Query Manager. I know that the quotes have to be supplied by the calling program (found a lot of info in the other Tech articles that helped with this). But I am having trouble with this one.

From the RPG, I have variables for the quote = Q and the info in the () for the select statement.

Security issues going from V5R2 to V5r4

we upgraded from V5R2 to V5r4 and now I am getting authority problems on any update programs in our custom programing library. User authorities were copied over. That seems fine. Were there any know security problems going from R2 to R4? I get around each instance by changing program to use Adopted authority of the program owner but feel this is a bandaid and would like to find root of the problem.
