I adminster an Ubuntu fileserver, with ldap and samba to use for client control, but when I have to reboot I get an error that the ldap service ldapd can't start and I have to wait about 10 minutes for the server to properly boot and the ldapd is finally started. Is there a way to let the ldapd...
I'm running a desktop windows XP machine. I installed Ubuntu 7.10 and created a dual boot, works like a charm. Then I upgraded to 8.04, still working great except in the Gnome desktop when the screensaver comes on it locks the computer down complete. Reboot is the only salvation. What's the answer?
