Windows Terminal Server 2008 timing out at client’s computer

Terminal Server is timing out at the client’s computer. Error says that to much time to connect to host. I see that the client’s computer is getting to the router but nothing is coming back. I have spent three weeks trying to solve this problem can you please help?

Hi ,

I wanted to setup a terminal server 2008 in an exsting domain which one also have exchnage server.I am confusing about TS licences .I have around 50 users and atleast 20 users works at same shifts timings.What kind on TS CAL/RDSCAL i need to purchase ? and how the server identifies the per device licence .Some clinets are planned to use Ubuntu as clinet OS and use terminal server clinet to connect to server in this case how the terminal licence server count /identify the licences?

Terminal Server 2008 client printers properties are greyed out

I have a 2008 terminal sever,

in the rdp 6.1 client i have enabled printers,
and in terminal services configuration printers are enabled as wel

the auto-created client printer properties dialog boxes are al greyed out, so i can’t change the numbers of tray’s.

Can someone help me with this problem, (i works fine on 2003 terminal server)

sometimes ago, installed termnial services role on one of the server 2008 server to provide users with access to a custom design rating application.now they’re complaining they cant accessthe terminal services desktops.

what have caused this error?
how do i fix this?thanks

I have a terminal server 2008 that I am using hp thin clients on. I am tring to get the thin clients to where you can use flash drives on them. Currently when you put a flash drive in you can see it in My Computer, but when you try to access it I get the error. “\\tsclient\files\hard disk2 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administratorof this server to find out if you have access permissions. The file exists.” Even logged in as administrator I get the same error. I have checked group policy and the only drive that I have restricted with domain policy is the c drive. How can I correct this error?
