Ultrium 4, Data size in TAPE?

We are using LTO4 ultrium tape for backups in our server{V5R4}.

System Total Storage – 12TB

Present ASP – 60% i.e.,{More than 6 TB}

For Entire System backup - Two Ultrium 4 tapes used. {which has the size of 1.6Tb each for compressed data = total 3.2Tb}

Question : Since the ASP is 60% we can predict approximately that the system contains more than 6Tb of data. While triggering an entire system backup how the 60%{6Tb} of ASP gets stored in two LTO4{3.2Tb} tapes?

Also Pls help me out how to find the data size in tape volume?

Already change Cable, and entire Tape Drive, still cannot solve. Any idea? Our backup is failing due to an error message that states we need to clean TAP01. We used a tape cleaner, also tried a solvent on swabs, tried a brand new tape and still get the error message. Any suggestions?

Trouble getting LTO2 tape drive to compress backups on Backup Exec 2010

I am using Backup exec 2010 and I can not get my LTO2 tape drive to compress backups. The tapes and drive support 200/400 compressed but I can only store up to 200GB max.
