Outlook 07 sync issues when not on VPN

This year our company I.T. added a MS Exchange feature to Outlook 07 that allows it to downloan emails throuh MS Exchange without being on VPN. Initially when I set it up with server and password I told the program to “save password”. Our network passwords change every 60 days. When I last changed my password my emails do not download anymore unless I log into the company VPN. I.T. and I have searched Outlook 07 for the location to change MS Exchange password so they match but were unsuccessful. Can you advise? Thanks for the input thus far. As mentioned above, our system is password protected and changes every 60 days. I am an investigator and am very aware of security issues and I have a secure personal database that I keep over 50 passwords and log in I.D’s for the different databases I access. No one other than me or administrator can log into my laptop to access my email even if my email password is saved in Outlook. My screen is even password protected if inactive for 5 minutes. A pain but more secure.

I did find out the feature I am attempting to use is “Outlook Anywhere”. However, I am not able to enable the button because it is “inactive”. I.T. is checking on this from their end. Could be a permissions issue or conflict between Outlook 07 and newer version of MS Exchange. I am awaiting a response from I.T.

Password Self-service solution for AS400

We have AS400, Active Directory, a bit SAP to. This means that some of our users have more than 5 passwords to remember – which they of course can’t. As a result we have many calls to the HelpDesk for support. We have looked at Single Sign On solutions, but we find them rather complicated. We would like to find a more simple solution, where the users only have to use one password, and we want to be able to install and administrate in a rather simple fashion. We have been looking at some solutions – but usually they do not cover AS400. Any expirience anyone? Answers will be greatly appriciated /Frank

Lotus Notes Calendar Items Deleted on Blackberry

We have one user among approx. 20 Blackberry 8830 users who is having
an issue with his calendar items being automatically deleted, even
though his device is set to Keep Forever. We have wiped the device,
reloaded the OS, have gone through troubleshooting and replaced the
device with a new one. The old calendar items still disappeared. Has to
be a setting on Lotus Notes, possibly through our Enterprise Server. IT
department and Blackberry administrator have been unable to find an
answer. Only one user is affected. Any suggestions?

WMDC and Bluetooth

I am have been trying to connect via Bluetooth using a desktop computer and Vista 64 bit. The BT adapter is using BlueSoleil software. I have tried everything I know. There is no additional anti-virus or firewalls other than Windows pre-installed. I have disabled Windows defender and even uninstalled and reinstalled the BlueSoleil software. The virtual BT serial port is using com 11 and I have set this as the port in Windows Mobile Device Center as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Using two Computers In Sync( together)

I have a desktop and a Laptop Computers and want to use the two so that one is just replica of the other with all files and settings the same so that if I travel with the Laptop and return, everything on it 9the Laptop will be syncronized to the Desktop PC , and as I work on the Desktop.all changes made on it will also reflect on the Laptop.both Sytems will be on the same Domain in Active Directory,and will be running Vista

Wireless Synchronization with a blackberry and Domino server on Linux

Is there any solution for wireless synchronization of mail/calendar between a Domino server running on the linux platform, and a blackberry device?

From my research it appears that BES will only run on a windows server.

I’ve tried IMAP for at least the mail portion, but find it only works like POP, and it’s buggy.

Is there a solution?

Sony Ericsson PC Suite 4.0 does not recognize Outlook subfolders

I want to synch my new Sony Ericsson C902 with a subfolder which I have specifically created in Outlook on my computer exclusively for my mobile contacts. After connectiong the phone (and the computer recognising it successfully and opening the PC suite), and then, via ‘settings’, browse the subfolder of choice, the window shows various Outlook folders but because they are unlabled, I am unable to select the correct/desired sub-folder. So, to sum up, the PC suite does not seem able to recognise subfolders in Outlook, so synchronising with a sub folder is not possible. HELP PLEASE!!

Sychronizing two devices to separate address books on one Laptop

I would like to know if it is possible to set up two individual address books and have each one synch to two different devices- one a Palm Tungesten E2 and the other a Blackberry Curve. Each serves a different purpose and I want to be able to update them separately. How do I set that up on Outlook 2003 and how do I then direct each device to only synch with it correct address folder?
