we have been using Symantec Antivirus all these years on workstations &#038; Servers.<br />
we have microsoft exchange email server- so we use the symantec mail security for MS exchange as well.<br />
We wanted to migrate to a newer or better solution.<br />
1) Wanted to check with the experts here as how good are the Appliance Based Antivirus Solutions ?<br />
2) I know that appliance based AV&#8217;s will not replace the workstations AV scanning. we would still need AV on workstations &#038; Servers.  But when we go with any appliance based AV solution at the gateway level, how much of AV maintenance on workstations/server would cut down ?</p>
<p>3) Any inputs from the current hardware appliance AV users ?<br />
we were considering Barracuda Anti-Virus &#038; AntiSpam appliance</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hi, We backup our servers using backup exec system recovery 7 using a full/incremental recovery points. What I would like to know is how do I restore only the files changed in the incremental recovery point without besr7 also restoring from the base recovery point. The reason being is that I have created a recovery set for a file server where I created a full backup on thursday night. I restored the backup to a new server on friday which took several hours with the notion of just restoing the changes between the thusday night backup and the friday night backup which should take only a few minutes. However on running the recovery and pointing the recovery to the incremental point it seems to be recovering the whole base set as well, when all i wanted was for the server to overwrite the changes that have occured between the full and the incremental backup. any ideas? I have recently upgraded Symantec to BE 2010. The new agent will no longer talk to the Lotus 6.5 databae , this is the Symantec remote agent for Lotus Dominos database. I am able to backup all the files in the Lotus notes directory however. In the event that I need to restore a user mailbox and associated files / documents , can I do it using just the files in that folder that are backed up ?</p>
