If I move a database from Sybase to Oracle with no coding changes what is the impact on the target database with respect to CPU, Memory, IO, etc? Note that the OS will go from Solaris to LINUX also.

I would like to know if there is an anitivirus prog that will scan automatically on sybase DB’s. Our server allows staff to upload word doc’s into the DB,,, with the increase of virus’s occuring on out windows PC’s,,, i would like to add protection to the doc’s in the DB. Any ideas?

How can I suppress the printing of column headings while using isql (command line utility provided by Sybase ASE)? without using and sed filter commands. I cannot use -b flag coz the isql utility that I have on my machine doesnot have -b flag.
